Introducing the new dancing dolls! So excited! I have done some girl dolls in the past but not mass made them before. I have at last got the skirts working like I wanted .
I am a big fan of the fifties style dresses and those that know me, know I have quite a few in my wardrobe ! Love that they swish a bit and are all puff because of the netting sew into them.
These dolls have big fluffy skirts and some have plaits at the back, some have headscarves. lots of glittery shoes and some even have it in their hair :) !
I have also been working on a few custom orders of a version of the dancing dolls too. with shorter skirts and extra netting for a more ballerina style. These are doll versions of outfits from a dance show. Really exciting to work on some different styles and looking at the elements of the outfits to pull out.
Thanks for all the interest in my toys in 2017 so far! We will be taking a short break to pack and move house but will be back soon! Keep an eye on here, etsy store and facebook for updates! (I am not sure when internet will be up and running again in the new house yet! )
Always a little stressful moving but defiantly worth it in the long run and super exciting! ....and hopefully for the last time :) !
After the excitement of Dragon Den at the beginning of the month it is back to work for me! :)
My parents have wanted some doll of themselves for a while. They picked the fabric last year and I managed to get the dolls done for their visit this year...just!
I love making someone I know and knowing what the different element and colour references mean to them and me. Love that all my custom dolls are different!
I have also been working with some other business too! Little learners toys are coming along nicely! We are almost there with the design and I am excited!
We are super excited over here at The Crafty Elm as a client of ours will be appearing on BBC Dragon's Den tonight at 8pm! The puppets I make for them can be spotted her on the hand of Sarah Willingham. Can't wait to watch it !
